"When we created the 2023 Shingle Color of the Year, Midnight Plum, we challenged ourselves to dream up a shade that was distinctive enough for contemporary homes yet versatile enough for traditional exteriors. Our design team crafted a blend of granules—brick red and cornflower blue, as well as shades of silver and bronze—that together cast a deep and pleasing night-sky purple. Every hue in the mix counts, coming together for a one-of-a-kind amethyst shade that in fact doesn’t contain purple granules at all!"
