In the Spring of 2023, Laura Marker joined Capital Construction after retiring from 22 years of working as a paraprofessional in South West Minnesota. After she moved back to the cities, she realized that she was not fully ready to retire. Laura's niece, Katie Bergeson, offered her a position in the production department after hearing this.

Her favorite part about working for Capital is everyone's excellent attitude. She believes the staff and their drive for success create a wonderful atmosphere to work in. In her spare time, Laura enjoys creating stained glass art pieces, traveling, camping, going to Vikings game, and being with family and friends. She has two adult children, Emily & John, and has fun assisting Emily and her fiancé plan for their wedding this Fall.
