According to a study conducted by the National Association of Realtors in 2022,

51% of homeowners replace their roofs to upgrade worn-out materials while 21% do so to add features and improve their livability. Why not do both?

These shingle upgrades increase curb appeal and increase the protection of your home.

Where to Start?

The basic shingle is a 3-Tab shingle.

These are the thinnest shingles they make, they're one dimensional and don't have much character.

Architectural Shingles

These can be found on 95% of homes in Minnesota.

They're thicker, more dimensional, and performs better.

We compared 3-Tab and Architectural shingles previously!

Impact Resistant Shingles

These are heavier architectural shingles that are made to resist the impact of hail.

Some insurance companies will give you a 10-20% reduction in premiums if you install these on your roof.

For instance, your agent may tell you to after installing Class 4 impact resistant shingles your premium will cost $300 less!

Run the numbers: if those shingles were $900 more expensive than the regular architectural shingles, than in 3 years you will have made your money back! And, you'll keep saving since these shingles are harder to damage and last longer!

Designer Shingles

These are around twice the weight of architectural shingles. Most are made to replicate the look of cedar shakes with the performance of a fiber glass shingle.

Unlike wood, these will never rot or decay and they offer wind and fire resistance.

These shingles will for sure make your home pop!
